Indoor Lighting Adjustment

These are pictures that were taken indoors at my house. Not the coolest pictures I have even taken but the assignment was about taking indoor pictures, without a flash, and making them look like natural light. The indoor pictures get a orange kind of tint because of light bulbs, which is what I took out using the adjustments in Photoshop.

The top picture is of a Halloween decoration at our kitchen table. I adjusted the contrast, exposure, reduced the temperature a little bit, and tweaked the saturation a little. I didn't do a whole lot with the levels, but I did adjust them a little on each photo, mainly to just brighten them a touch. I like how the adjustments took out the orange tint and brought out the details, especially in the table cloth. The picture below is of a record signed by Paul McCartney. Again, the top picture has the orange tint, where the bottom one is the more natural color of the album and the room.

The next two pictures are of a little lego village. Once again, the top picture has an unnatural tint because of the lights where bottom picture is what the legos look like in natural light.

Name Canvas

This is a picture of things around my house and church that spelled my name. I really wanted to go outside and get some better pictures, but I have been really short on time with homework from other classes and getting ready for some gigs coming up. The hardest one to find was a Z, so I decided to make myself a Z out of something I love...guitars :-) That's my favorite there in the middle, my 59' VOS Les Paul...LOVE IT! This was a cool assignment though because it really makes you look at your surroundings with a different eye.

Can't Decide

My original banner is below this post, but then I decided to try a couple extra editing tools and came up with these and I don't really know which one I like best. What do you guys and gals think?

This is a picture of the other guitar player in my band. I just love shots of music and guitars and all the fun stuff. I've never used PowerPoint to edit photos but it was pretty fun. I decided to do a depth perspective thing with the photo, which I thought was pretty cool. I hope I can get more pictures of music like this, the only problem is that I am usually playing as well, but maybe I'll get some cool shots during practice or something. Music is AWESOME!

This is a picture that I took while I was in Washington DC, the day before the Paul McCartney concert :-)
I didn't have my Digital Rebel with me so I took it with another camera, which can't zoom as close. I cropped this picture becaue it feels like there is just too much lawn in the picture.
I feel that the picture looks much better with less lawn and the aspect ratio change makes it look more professional.
